Aus der Tiefe

The commemoration of World War I gave rise to the recording, by Musa Horti, of a CD with a double theme: War and Peace. It contains choral music on death and destruction, but also on what is truthful and of great value in life, on peacefulness and the quiet, unsightly beauty that surrounds us. Besides international choral literature of Rudolf Mauersberger, Edward Elgar, Johannes Brahms, Max Reger, Sven-David Sandström, Ola Gjeilo, Healey Willan, and Eric Whitacre, Musa Horti offers an exquisite selection of compositions by Flemish composers: besides Vic Nees' well-known 'De profundis', this CD presents first recordings of 'In Flanders Fields' by Raymond Schroyens, 'Pie Jesu' by Rudi Tas, and the madrigal 'Für viele', composed by Kurt Bikkembergs in commission of Musa Horti.

CD's are also available on our concerts
